Doesburg 2 februari 2012 - Commissaris van de koningin Clemens Cornielje bezoekt de Commanderij te Doesburg (de toekomstige zetel van het Nationaal Lalique Museum). Cornielje is positief gestemd over het alhier genomen particuliere initiatief om de Commanderij in oude luister te herstellen en wil deze restauratie ook met gelden vanuit het zogenaamde "kleine stedenbeleid" ondersteunen!

Het onstaan van het museum

Op 19 juni 2011 is het Lalique Museum in Doesburg onder grote belangstelling geopend.
Op het ogenblik staat een vijftigtal topstukken van René Lalique opgesteld in het museum.
Vooralsnog een bescheiden maar ambitieus begin.

Het grootste deel van deze collectie is door zeer enthousiaste particuliere verzamelaars bijeengebracht (in bruikleen aan het museum).
Enerzijds door stukken uit hun eigen bestaande collectie ter beschikking te stellen en anderzijds door aankoop van René Lalique glaswerken uit gallery “De Gerheysenhof” tegen gereduceerde prijzen met als tegenprestatie dat het stuk een bepaalde periode in het museum mag staan.

Particulieren hebben zo een investering en op deze wijze groeit het museum.
Kortom, een win-winsituatie.
Zo is het mogelijk geworden dat het museum een zeer hoogwaardige en belangrijke collectie heeft kunnen samenstellen van mondiale allure. Het Lalique Museum is een belangrijke aanwinst voor de oude hanzestad, voor de provincie en het land. Zeer goed gelegen op tien minuten autorijden van de A12 en daarmee heeft het museum ook een gunstige ligging ten opzichte van Duitsland.

De verhuizing naar de Commanderij van Doesburg
Vier jaar geleden is De Commanderij van Doesburg (een groot Riddergebouw uit 1286) aangekocht en dit gebouw wordt ter beschikking gesteld aan het museum.
Dit wordt de plek waar het grote Lalique Museum uiteindelijk zal zetelen. De Gerheysenhof is namelijk te klein om een grote collectie te herbergen en niet geschikt voor de minder valide mensen.

Er is reeds breed draagvlak voor subsidies en schenkingen voor de restauratie van
De Commanderij vanuit de overheid en de Ridderlijke Duitsche Orde te Utrecht.
Dit oude Riddergebouw beschikt over negenhonderd vierkante meter tentoonstellingsruimte en zal geheel in het teken van René Lalique komen te staan.
Negenhonderd vierkante meter vraagt om meer dan vijftig glaswerken van deze wereldberoemde art nouveau kunstenaar.

Het is de ambitie van het museum om het grootste Lalique Museum ter wereld te realiseren met een collectie van rondom de achthonderd werken van René Lalique.

Vergroting van de collectie

De vergroting van de collectie kan het museum uiteraard niet helemaal alleen verwezenlijken.

Daarom zoekt het museum naar bedrijven en/of particulieren die willen meewerken aan het tot stand brengen van dit bijzondere initiatief.

Designed in 1912 - Art Nouveau - 10 cm in diameter

Sepia Stained.

TROIS PAPILLONS is one of the rare examples among the inkwells.
Three butterflies (mothshaped) intertwined around the well.
One may consider it to be sheer french art nouveau but above all Lalique in every respect!

There will be a new Lalique Museum in The Netherlands to

be opened on the 19th of juni 2011.

This will be the first step towards the

grand Museum here in Doesburg.

As we mentioned before our foundation has acquired

the famous and important Chivalrous Order Building originating from the 13th century (1287) in this small city (near Arnhem)

There it is the museum will have its final chair.
900 square meters exhibition space.

Eventually the museum will give shelter & cradle

to over 600 high-rank pieces of René Lalique and perhaps more
since the collaboration is vast!

But before all that there will be a large showroom with

approximately fifty to sixty high-rank pieces.

We just acquired a very fine example of a BAIES vase

satinated with black highgloss enamel.

Also a double cased jade green glass DRUIDE vase

During the run-up we will extend our collection with more fantastic pieces from this great and visonary french designer.

Société Musée Lalique Pays Bas & De Gerheysenhof just acquired a fantastic
DEUX ANNEAUX PIGEONS vase.

(Marcilhac p.410 nr.880)

This design originates from 1919.
The signature indicates this particular vase was made between 1919 & 1926.

At this moment we are building an extra 85 displays for new R.Lalique adds to the collection for our new museum.
Four years ago we acquired the old Commanderije in Doesburg built in 1287.

Formerly and originally owned by the Ridderlijke Duitse Orde (RDO)
(Chivalrous Order) and Orde van Vrijmetselaren (Masonic Order).
The Masonic temple is still present.

The building has a content of approx. 5000 cubic meters versus approx. 900
square meters groundfloor.

Here eventually the museum will take its seat.

Douze Figurines avec Bouchon Figurine Deep Sepia Stained

First made in 1920 but the basis for this design originates from february 1915.
Yet Marcilhac says it is 1920 and he is right too, still the overall design screams Art Nouveau.

Officially Art Nouveau ceased in 1914 with the dawn of the first worldwar.
But to us this design is absolutely Art Nouveau and therefor still a lovesong to Female Holiness as well the love for the micro cosmos.

The change from the antique to the new era (Art Nouveau) was a change from the devotion towards god and living in fear for him (male) to the love for Nature, Human Kind, Everything what lives between the depths of the seas and the heavens like birds, marinelife, insects, flowers and the highest of all: Female Holiness.

Although the basis for life is as well male and female yet the female component for life and the survival of the species appears to be key.
The woomb is the cradle for conception and birth.
There may a thousand men but if there is just one woman there,ll be just one woomb to hold the fruit.

One of he oldest societies were matriarchic.

Lalique was quite into female holiness.
Although he was not an official member of the Masonics he absolutely sympathised with their believes.

The lower part of this vase is acid frosted with six groups of figurines.
The stopper at the other hand has an almost erotic transparant tranluscentness and evidently depicts a female on top.

Yes, but the top(ic) is clear.
